I'm a yoga teacher in beautiful, sunny, San Diego. Prana Parade is my business name and Instagram handle that I came up with just as something cute and catchy. Prana in sanskrit means "life-force" or "breath". So here I am, the breath parade!
My first experience with yoga was attempting a Bikram yoga class which is definitely not for novices. Fortunately, I was willing to try a 30 day, at-home yoga challenge with Adriene Mischler, via YouTube, back in 2015. Adriene's style is very beginner friendly and I loved how my body transformed over the next month during the chanllenge. Since then, I've been hooked and I now teach hatha/vinayasa style yoga.
I earned my RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher - 200 hour certification) at Miramar College and had the pleasure of training with Jen Tipton. I currently work for Fit-X Fitness which provides fitness classes to residential complexes and fitness clubs around Southern California. I also teach a public yoga class in the park on Saturday afernoons.
My favorite part about teaching yoga is being able to guide yogis into poses they didn't think they could acheive. Be sure to check out my class calendar to join me on the mat!
